Let me know a little more about Duality. What is it?
Duality is a location-based mobile game that allows you to team up with your friends to conquer your town. (Think real life version of Risk® or Monopoly®). Have a particular coffee shop, bowling alley, or restaurant you enjoy visiting? A certain club or bar where you rock out? Claim ownership to that place in Duality's virtual world, and defend it from others with everything from security cameras to attack dogs. Awards are given to you based on places you own and quests you accomplish, and can be exchanged for real-life rewards such as discounts and gift certificates for your favorite places. How do I play Duality?
Duality is location-based, meaning you have to physically be at the place you want to conquer. While you can do many things remotely, such as defending your properties, we believe that the best experiences come from the real-life interaction. Are you on your way to work and stopping to get some coffee? Why not take out your mobile phone and own that coffee shop in Duality? Ever dreamed of owning the block you live on? Realize your dream in Duality by conquering those stores on your walk home.
What kind of prizes and rewards are there?
In Duality, you can earn awards by controlling certain places or fulfilling certain quests. You can exchange some of these awards for real-life rewards, such as discounts and gift certificates at your favorite places. In addition, prizes will be provided to the best-performing players in sponsored contests.
How can I play or interact with my friends on Duality?
Playing with friends is extremely encouraged and teamwork provides many in-game advantages, such as bonuses when your friends help you defend your places. If your friends do not currently play Duality, there are many ways to introduce them to the game, such as text messaging, email, or sending complimentary items!
Can I play Duality with my Blackberry, Android, or other mobile phone?
While our current focus is releasing Duality for the iPhone and iPod Touch, we will very quickly be porting Duality over to other platforms, such as the Android and Blackberry. Please contact us if you have further questions.
Can I play Duality in my specific geographic region?
For our Beta testing phase, we are focused on bringing Duality to Boston, MA. You can still have a great time with the game if you don't live in Boston, but the competition will be bustling in Bean Town. However, once the game is up and running, we will quickly be introducing it to other regions.
When will the Duality beta be released?
Our goal is to release Duality in March 2010. While we don't have an exact date, we will be sure to update all registered individuals by email. Not registered yet? Sign up today!
